Google has redesigned its chatbot and introduced a new subscription plan that would allow users to access its most sophisticated AI model, putting it directly against OpenAI.

Today, Google stated that it will be launching the advanced tier Ultra and renaming its AI chatbot Bard as Gemini, the underlying large language model. Gemini Advanced is the new name for the upgraded Bard. Additionally, the business is releasing a new Gemini app for Android and an iOS Google app so that consumers may access Gemini Advanced.

According to Google, the new app may perform a variety of functions, such as acting as a personal instructor, assisting programmers with coding assignments, and even getting job seekers ready for interviews.

In the newsroom, Sundar Pichai declared the opening of the AI subscription tier, stating, “The version with Ultra will be called Gemini Advanced, a new experience far more capable at reasoning, following instructions, coding, and creative collaboration.” Additionally, he disclosed that Google One will bundle the Gemini Advanced membership, which will be known as the Google One AI Premium plan. Therefore, in addition to 2TB of cloud storage capacity, users who subscribe to it will also receive all the other advantages of Google One.

Gemini Advanced features and Subscription Price

When Google first unveiled earlier versions of Gemini, known as Pro and Nano, earlier in December, the largest and most powerful device was known as Gemini Ultra. The improved chatbot, to be known as Bard Advanced, was to be powered by an AI model.

According to Google, the Ultra 1.0 model, upon which Gemini Advanced is built, is their largest and most potent state-of-the-art artificial intelligence model, rendering it far more skilled at intricate jobs. According to Google, users can now have longer, more in-depth conversations using Gemini complex, which is better able to comprehend context and excel at complex coding, among other things.

Gemini Advanced can be accessed by subscribing to the new Google One AI Premium Plan, which starts at $19.99/month and offers a free two-month trial. In-depth analytical tools, more interactive coding skills, and multimodal features will all be available to users.

Additionally, Google intends to use Gemini models into other products, such as Google Cloud and Workspace. Soon, Gemini will be available for use in Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and more for AI Premium subscribers. In addition to being accessible in English in more than 150 countries and territories, Gemini Advanced will soon be available in more languages.

Gemini Application launch and Features

Android users have the option to sign up using Google Assistant or download the Gemini app. The Gemini app will provide access to numerous Google Assistant speech functions, including the ability to make calls, set timers, and manage smart home appliances. Additional functionalities will be added in the future.

In the United States, Gemini is now available in English on Android and iOS phones; it will be fully functional in the upcoming weeks. It will be available in more places in English, Japanese, and Korean starting next week.
