Although he returned home a few days ago, yesterday he felt extremely weak, and he was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he suffered a cardiac arrest before reaching the hospital.”
Actor Sandip Sikand expressed his shock and heartbreak over the news to indianexpress.com, stating, “I am shocked and heartbroken on hearing the news. Someone posted the news on one of my WhatsApp groups early in the morning and since then I have just been in shock. I have worked closely with Rhitu in Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii; he was one of the only actors who gave me a warm welcome on the show. To say that he was a brilliant actor is an obvious thing, but more than an actor, he was one of the finest human beings that I know. I am really saddened by the news. May his soul rest in peace, and may his wife and kids get the strength to deal with this loss.”
Rituraj Singh’s illustrious career spanned over three decades. He left an indelible mark through his roles in popular shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kutumb, Hitler Didi, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and more recently, the hit show Anupamaa. In the realm of films, Rituraj was last seen in Yaariyan 2, and he notably portrayed Varun Dhawan’s father in Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Additionally, he made memorable appearances in streaming series such as Made in Heaven, Criminal Justice, The Test Case, and Bandish Bandits.
