Manchester City dominated the entire game, they were up against a resolute Danish team in their own backyard. Once Kevin De Bruyne scored from the right side of the box to open the scoring, things were easy for the winners; however, the hosts were able to tie the game thanks to an unexpected pass from Ederson.
In the closing third of City’s game, they had hardly touched the ball, but Magnus Mattsson’s brilliant shot past Ederson gave them an equalizer. Mohamed Elyounoussi created the opportunity.
Subsequently, Bernardo Silva scored another goal for City, putting them ahead at the half. This lead held until the very end. City picked up the pace, sensing they would need a larger margin to return to Manchester. Phil Foden repurposed the ball and scored City’s third goal after Erling Haaland forced a strong save from Kamil Grabara.

The 3-1 victory in Copenhagen left Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola “extremely pleased” with his team’s performance.
