  • Live Translate: This feature utilizes AI to translate phone calls in real-time through OneUI’s default dialer app. Users can activate Live Translate during a call by tapping the ‘Call Assist’ button on the screen.
  • Interpreter: Similar to Google Translate, Samsung’s Interpreter facilitates language translation. Users choose two languages, and the screen is split, displaying translated text on one side for the user and the other side for the conversation partner.
  • Note Assist: Samsung’s Notes app receives AI treatment with the ‘Note Assist’ feature, which interacts with written content to format text or generate a summary. It also automatically aligns handwritten text.
  • Transcript Assist: Comparable to the voice recorder app on Pixel devices, Samsung’s Transcript Assist automatically transcribes recordings into text, identifying speakers. Users can translate the transcription or generate a summary on the device, though real-time transcription is not supported.

Samsung assures that these Galaxy AI features will be free on eligible devices until the end of 2025. Afterward, users may need to pay for certain features provided by third parties, with the possibility of these features extending to previous generation Galaxy S/Z series smartphones.
