The model-turned-actor Poonam Pandey declared in a video message on Saturday that she is still alive and healthy. A day later, the model’s management declared her death from cervical cancer. She made her declaration on Instagram.

“I’m alive. Cervical cancer is not what killed me. I regret to inform you that thousands upon thousands of women have lost their lives as a result of cervical cancer.”

“I apologize for starting this crying fit and for hurting people. She stated in a another post, “My goal is to start a conversation about cervical cancer, which is something we don’t talk about enough.

Cervical cancer, in contrast to many other malignancies, is completely avoidable. The HPV vaccine and early detection testing hold the key. We have the tools at our disposal to make sure that this illness claims no lives, she remarked.

She continued to express her regret for ‘hurting’ individuals by telling them of her passing. Pandey continued, saying that the announcement of her “supposed demise due to cervical cancer” serves a “greater purpose”.

“I beg you to think about the bigger picture even if I can understand how you would have thought this was in poor taste. I implore you to acknowledge the worrisome issue that women around the world are facing before making a decision about the act. I was only forced to take this unusual action because of how little others knew about this problem,” the woman stated.

Social media users are severely criticizing the model for “faking her death” in order to raise awareness of the illness.

People are really upset with her stunt, and online users are criticizing her in the post’s comments area. They’re demanding that she be taken into custody. I’m glad she’s alive, but please jail her for this drama and publicity stunt, one netizen commented, calling it the “WORST PUBLICITY STUNT EVER!” Another agreed.
