Actor Gary Graham, known for his role in ‘Star Trek,’ has passed away at 73, succumbing to cardiac arrest in Washington, US, on Monday.


Gary Graham, the Hollywood star, has passed away at the age of 73 due to cardiac arrest, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor, Gary Graham, passed away on Monday, January 22 (IST) in a Washington hospital. His wife, Becky Graham, confirmed the news. Susan Lavelle, Graham’s former wife, shared on Facebook: “It is with deep profound sadness to say that Gary Graham, my ex-husband, amazing actor and father of our beautiful only child together, Haylee Graham, has passed away.”

Heartbreaking Loss

Lavelle expressed that she, her daughter, and Graham’s wife of almost 25 years, Becky, are “completely devastated” by his untimely death. She added that Becky “was by his side” when he passed away.

Becky subsequently confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Graham passed away from cardiac arrest at a hospital in Spokane, Washington.

Early Days

Gary Graham, born on June 6, 1950, in Long Beach, CA, began his acting journey with the 1975 film Lost on Paradise Island. He continued to make a mark in television with roles in Eight is Enough, Starsky and Hutch, Knots Landing, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Moonlighting. However, his breakthrough came as a co-star on the television series Alien Nation.

One of Graham’s notable career achievements was his portrayal of Vulcan Ambassador Soval on Star Trek: Enterprise from 2001 to 2005. Before his time on Enterprise, he also appeared in the Star Trek: Voyager episode Cold Fire.

Throughout his extensive career, Gary Graham made notable contributions to television, showcasing his talent on The Incredible Hulk, Knots Landing, T.J. Hooker, Moonlighting, The Commish, Renegade, Ally McBeal, JAG, Crossing Jordan, and Nip/Tuck. His film credits also include roles in Robot Jox (1989), The Last Warrior (1989), and Champion (2017).

Apart from his acting career, Gary Graham served as a fully qualified paramedic during his time on Alien Nation. Beyond that, he showcased his musical talents as a member of both The Gary Graham Band and The Sons of Kirk. Gary Graham is survived by his wife Becky and daughter, Haley.
