The 69th Filmfare Awards were held at Ahmedabad. Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail won big this year at the Filmfare Awards. Alia Bhatt won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for Ranveer Singh starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. Whereas Ranbir won Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) for Animal. Vikrant Massey won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Critics’).
Filmfare Awards 2024 were place in Gujarat’s GIFT City. The star-studded event, which was hosted by Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Maneish Paul, featured stunning red carpet appearances, amazing performances, and motivational winning moments.
Notably, Sam Bahadur, Animal, and 12th Fail each won five awards in different categories.

- Animal is the best album of music. (Pritam, Gurinder Seagal, Ashim Kemson, Bhupinder Babbal, Vishu Mishra, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Jaani, and Bhupinder Babbal)
- Bhupinder Babbal (Arjan Vailly – Animal) is the best playback singer (male).
- Best Female Playback Singer: Shilpa Rao (Besharam Rang – Pathaan)
- Best Story: Devashish Makhija (Joram), Amit Rai (OMG 2)
- Vidhu Vinod Chopra (12th Fail) has the best screenplay.
- Ishita Moitra’s from Rocky and Rani Kii Prem Kahani is the best dialogue.
- Harshavardhan Rameshwar (Animal) has the best background score.
- Avinash Arun Dhaware’s “Three of Us” had the best cinematography.
- Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray (Sam Bahadur) have the best production design.
- Best Costume Design: Sam Bahadur’s Sachin Lovelekar, Divvya Gambhir, and Nidhhi Gambhir
- Sam Bahadur’s (Kunal Sharma, MPSE) Sync Cinema (Animal) has the best sound design.
- Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Jaskunwar Singh Kohli had the best editing (12th fail).
- Spiro Razatos, Anl Arasu, Craig MacRae, Yannick Ben, Kecha Khamphakdee, and Sunil Rodrigues (Jawan) had the best action.
- Best VFX: Jawan’s Red Chillies
- Ganesh Acharya’s “What Jhumka? – Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani” has the best choreography.
- Tarun Dudeja, Best Debut Director (Dhak Dhak)
- Best Male Debut: Aditya Rawal (Faraaz)
