Barcelona moved up to third position in the standings after winning Game with a scoreline of 4-2 against Real Betis, they are just four points behind Girona, ahead of their encounter against Betis’ crosstown rivals Sevilla. Barca were the first team this season to defeat Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin stadium in La Liga.

Prior to the second half’s explosive burst of five goals, Barcelona led 1-0 at the firsy half of the game. It could have been an easier victory than it was, as Barca took a 2-0 lead in less than 48 minutes. The former Real Madrid player Isco tied the game just 11 minutes later with a rapid brace just before the hour mark.

The game was intense, and either team could have won, but in the last minute, Barca’s substitute João Félix scored a goal with the outside of his boot to cap off a brilliant attacking move. And Torres was the one to end the scoring, pouncing on a ball from the outstanding Lamine Yamal to secure a crucial three points for the visitors with a wonderful chipped finish deep into additional time.

Ferran Torres scored a hat-trick and assisted substitute João Félix in netting Barca’s crucial third goal in the closing minutes to cap off an incredible night in Seville. A nightr not to be forgotten, youthful teammate Lamine Yamal and the rejuvenated Isco, the playmaker for Betis, who both had fantastic displays.

Xavi praised his team for being “good” and having “the game under control” after the game.

We were a little tense after the goal to make it 2-1, but I’m not sure if Pedri committed a foul. In addition, we quickly equalized, but we still dominated and, in my opinion, advanced,” said Xavi.

“With young players who showed Personality, we played a fantastic game. I’m sure it will please Barca supporters. The team has successfully fought for and won [the points].” Xavi added after the post match conference.
