Due to the extreme weather, locals in the Red Fort area expressed their concerns, claiming bus service delays and, in some cases, a complete lack of public transportation. The weather is having an effect on businesses as well because customers are reluctant to venture outside in the thick fog.

In an interview with ANI, Dr. Kuldeep Srivastava, the head of the Regional Meteorological Centre in Delhi, stated that a yellow alert has been issued for the Delhi-NCR due to the likelihood of a thick layer of fog on February 2.
