Australia seals the ODI series against West Indies with an 83-run victory in the second ODI. Sean Abbott shines, contributing with a crucial 69 runs off 63 balls and taking three wickets at the SCG.

Facing early setbacks, the hosts were challenged in the first innings as both openers fell quickly. Captain Steve Smith’s departure added to the pressure, but valuable contributions, including a cameo from Matthew Short (41) and Sean Abbott’s fifty, propelled Australia to a total of 258 runs.

In the second innings, West Indies struggled to maintain composure, with the batting unit faltering early, losing three wickets for a mere 34 runs. Despite Keacy Carty’s contribution of 40, none of the other batters could muster a significant score, resulting in a total dismissal for just 175 runs.
