Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and his spouse, the actress Anushka Sharma, have announced the birth of their second child, a boy. The couple announced the birth of their son on Instagram, stating that he was born on February 15, 2024. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli disclosed that they have given their newborn the name Akaay.

The name Vaamika, which refers to an epithet of the Goddess Durga that is located on Shiva’s left side, is that of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s eldest daughter. Data suggests that in 2010 there were five newborns per million named Vamika, making it the least common name. By 2021, there were 28 babies per million named Vamika.
