After Mikel Arteta’s team took the lead in the first half thanks to goals from Gabriel (a header from a corner) and Dean Henderson (an own goal mostly due to Gabriel), Palace looked listless, and shortly before the hour, Leandro Trossard extended the lead with a finish to a sweeping play. Gabriel Martinelli, a substitute, provided two nearly similar strikes in stoppage time to further enhance the scoreline and validate Arsenal’s dominance.
With this win, Arsenal leveled the score with Aston Villa and champions Manchester City and ended a streak of three straight losses in all competitions.

Crystal Palace remained five points above the relegation zone in 14th place following this game.
